I just picked up the PHP spacer. im guna do the install on Saturday.

And if you'd like i can take pics and i can post step by step directions on how to do the install ur self.

Yea that would certainly be helpful. Might make the decision for me going at it a little easier.

Thanks man! Im guna have help for sure working on my car. Personally i have never done work by myself on this car before. I bought it from a guy in March that had most of the mods done at shops, and i have every single reciept for every mod on it. So im actually kinda afraid of working on it. lol. And as for as DSG's go. I love em!!! Sorry you no longer have ur's. But if i could go with any other color again i would choose Comp Orange all day long:rockon:!!!

NO problem. I know what you mean about hesitation, btu I just loved working on that thing. I didn't do the midpipe or the UD's (had them on for about 5k miles and took them off), but did everything else.

Funny you mention the CO. I thought the same thing. DSG then CO....that was until I saw AB in person. Fell in love with it. It's a hard color to photograph so it looks like crap in alot of pics.

And OMG!!! I love AB! A guy around my area has one with basically the same setup i have but with the Stock wheels that are the deep dish. Its flat out beautiful!!! Really??? There hard to get pics of? I thought they'd be pretty easy. In my opinion i think the CO is the hardest to get pics of. It seems like they always turn out more red than they actually are. lol

No prob man, and for $100 i think its a must mod with our Mach's. Up to 15rwt and 3 to 4rwhp. And from what i hear you can actually feel the difference in this mod.

I would go ahead and pick up a new EGR gasket. Unless you have a fairly low mileage mach. It may save you a headache of buying it in the middle of hte install if it tears.

If you have any questions on the install, let me know. I doubt you will, they are pretty simple, but just wanted to throw it out there.

+1 The EGR gasket on my car was bad and it caused my car to die, but I loved the sound it made while it was running for that glorious 10 seconds. With the EGR leak it sounds like the car has a wicked cam on it. But like he stated above they are only $3-5 bucks if that and it's better to replace it than get the job almost done to find out your car needs to be broken back into.

Damn! So was it the spacer or the gasket that caused the problem?

It's the gasket causing problems. The spacer when installed correctly causes no problems at all (unless you get a big one and that will cause clearance issues as stated above). But you have to take the EGR off to get the lid off of the intake and that gasket inbetween the EGR and the lid is very fragile. Get the PHP or Roy spacer and run over to Autozone or O'Reilly and pick up an EGR gasket just to give yourself some piece of mind.

You are so full of crap. I'd LOVE to see proof of this. Let's see it cowboy. I have YET to see a single mach owner not say it adds power. Aside from the fact that both of my machs have had them and I know first hand.

goodtms-Yep. No issues with the spacer as long as you do it right, which isnt' hard at all. The gasket for the EGR is just something simple and cheap that you can plan for just to be safe. YOu only have13k miles so you might be fine, but you still might consider it. It's nothign big, trust me.

It doesn't add any power. All it does is shift the powerband lower in the RPM range so the power comes in a bit sooner.

HAHAH..wow.

Sit down before you hurt yourself.

You are correct that it broadens the power band, but you are incorrect to your comment about increasing power. It DOES increase Torque.

I haven't actually seen the dyno charts from anyone that supports that, so feel free to be the first.

Have you seen ANY dyno charts? Are you even refering to Mach's or are you talking about 99-01 Cobra's? Cause they dont' do crap for the 99-01 cobra's.

BTW - go on the registry and do a search. I know what I'm talking about. It's obvious you don't.

More like it fattens up the mid-range. The spacer doesn't actually shift the power-band at all, it doesn't move the rpm at which peak HP and TQ occur.

I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule.

I've never seen a spacer lower the rpm of peak TQ or peak HP. You aren't adding runner length, you're adding plenum volume.

With stock Cobra cams and a 7/8" spacer my cars makes peak TQ at almost 5000 and peak HP at almost 6200, the spacer didn't seem to shift the power band to a lower rpm on my car. That's with a pretty big spacer too.
