here are some pics of mine, i was going to weld it back but maybe i need to open it a bit more, it wouldn't hurt would it?

I leave mine like yours if its a stock longblock bolt on combo. The larger cube, ported head or cammed combos get a little more work done.

what did you use to cut off the bottum? and can we see pics of the welds?

I use a cut off wheel in an air grinder. I'll post pics of the welds once this intake Im working on is done.
