I don't use my fogs at all and I always liked the look of the boss grill with the fog light covers so I thought of this. I think it looks great, easy to do, and a bottle of plasti dip cost me $6.

It gives the look but only cheaper. I'm sure if you accidentally turn the fogs on, having that on there would melt the lenses.

why not do the wire mess gutter guard so you will have better air flow? I do like the look though

Yeah, kind of confused why you plastidipped the actual fog lights themselves? You could have easily come up with a cheap alternative to the block off plates...

I figured this was the cheapest and it looks exactly like what I was going for. I plasti dipped it because it peels off and doesn't ruin anything and I never touch my lights I have EM on automatic. Since I have the hid's the fogs don't match so I just went with it. I would definitely like to get some type of cover and take the fog lights off period but for $6 I think it came out pretty nice.

do the headlights !

lol

I don't like the fog/driving lights at all, you did make it look a little better kinda like the Boss. I'm kinda surprised nobody has tried to make some kind of ram air/ cai out of the holes in the grille.

I like my LED fogs at night. I wish they made a cover you could just take on and off. I've seen the tinted Velcro ones, don't like 'em.

love it!!! though i agree that i'd probably just pull the fogs and buy the block off plates, but that looks awesome none the less!

that extra airflow doesn't do anything except add drag. just look at the previous GT500s, ~50% of the total area of their grill is blocked off...

I believe there are actually cover you can take on/off. Unfortunately I forgot the name of the company. If it helps I saw them in a 5.0 mustang magazine  I personally love the fog lights, I would use them even when I didn't need them.

I think it looks bad ass!

BUT, it does kind of remind me of the "air ducts" on the side of my cobra. LOOKS like it could function, but it doesn't haha but at the same time makes it look better

I think the 11 & 12 fogs are pretty bright also. I went from those "big fog lights" to the little projector ones on the bottom of the bumper (boss 302 lower fascia) and you almost can't even tell they're on. The other ones (big ones) were a lot better... even tho i don't like how they look that much.

So explain why the 2013 GT500 darn near has no grille!?

I was the first to do the "Gutter/Plastidip screen" and it DOES do something....it opens up the flow of air to the airbox. Right behind the DS fog light is the airbox inlet. By removing the fog light and adding the screen allows a "Ram Air" sort of effect.

It only cost me $6 too (guess Plastidip was cheaper back then!?)

I went and bought gutter screen first but didn't like the way it turned out so I just ended up doing this!! The gutter screen was only $2 so I guess the plasti dip might be more expensive idk.

because it has 662 supercharged HP! a stock(or even bolt on equipped) 5.0l does NOT need the same amount of cooling as a 662HP supercharged 5.8l. if it did, the grill would be more open from the factory.
i have my doubts about any sort of ram air, would like to see some testing behind that.
