One of the guys working for me has 4 Gately 8’s running a 6k watt amp and his shit hits HARD. Diesel truck with dual batteries and heavy duty alternator and his gauge (aftermarket) will get down to 9-10 range when it’s hitting hard. He’s swapping to lithium batteries.

I bought his old box and subs, 4 Sundown 8’s running a 1500 watt amp and there is no comparison at all. Mine hits, but no where near that level. Mine is clearer though. He’s still running stock Bose speakers and I upgraded to Focal mids and highs running through a 600 watt.

Thinking about having Gately build me a custom box for 2 6.5” subs for my 72 c10. We’ll see.

Nice, can't go wrong with Gately. I ran his enclosure for four 8's and ran his Gately Relentless subs on a Sundown Audio Salt-4 at .5ohms and it SLAMS. I took it out however and my back seat and run a custom enclosure from Next Level Fabrications for two 15" Sundown Audio Zv6's and have a SALT-8 that will be pushing them at .5 as well. Also just bought a small Gately enclosure for two 8's for vacation trips and it slams pretty good as well.
