I carried a knife to school daily...we had cops at our school, and guess what i never stabbed them...b/c i knew that a getting shot wasn't gonna help me achieve goals in life...anyone thought that it was his way of committing suicide?
Too bad, so sad. Don't bring a knife to a gunfight kids.
The courts have recognized an edged weapon (ie- knife) as "deadly force," so the officer was well within his rights (and department policy) to use deadly force as a response to dispatch his attacker.
