So my friend was getting his car retuned. He wanted me to drive it since our cars are similar to see what I thought. Long story short, smoke screen, clunk clunk.

Car has a tvs at 10 psi. Made 720 rwhp on race fuel at 13psi.

So who has good deals on forged shortblocks?

did you window the block? if not it might be a good idea to look at the sleves and if they check out just get a rotating assembly. but man 720rwhp is a time bomb on this motors.

Building my block up with repeatable shop by me, came out to $4500 before the r&r, /w: manley rods&pistons, h-beam, billet oil gears, mmr head cooling and arp bolts and studs

Pretty sure beefcakes motor is gone, but that built shot lock for 3k that was just posted seems like a good deal

damn 4500k for a rotating assembly? wow did mine with manley rods, manley pistons, all bearings and billet oil pump gears,head cooling mod, boss head changing kit, some arp bolt, boss valve springs, and all machine work for 2500.. but that also includes me doing all the work.

Definately put a peep hole in the block. We will be pulling the motor in the next few days to see if anything else went with the rod.

This was on the 10 psi tune. The hole on the block is on the drivers side right by the oil filter. Not sure what number cyclinder that would be.

I will check the sale forum to see whats there.
