The flow path didn't change, I merely eliminated the stock res and routed the incoming fluid to the IR from the bottom to the top.

There is ZERO condensation/moisture coming off this box.

Today cruising on the highway at 75 mph with an ambient temp of 78* (early in the morning) my IAT2 was 96* steady state.

I forgot this info when I posted the above last week. At the same time as the above the air coming from the vents in the cab was 49*

I feel there is little left for me to add at this point.

Some one mentioned early about the lose of Hp due to the air being on, but since this IR is working this good in bring temp down, on a wide open throttle pass like at a track the a/c kicks off anyways, so there would not be a loss of power due to the air being on, but in fact a huge gain in it, plus any type of intercooler spray bar would just add to the effect. Great idea!

Intercooler spray bars are useless on these trucks unless you have a turbo set-up with an air to air intercooler.

I think tommorow is the last day for pre-lim deal if you want to get in on it... I tried calling but no answer...

My only concern is going back and forth to an A/C specialist for recalibration of the freon level(lbs). Im no expert on A/C's but wouldn't the lbs of freon stay consistient?

no sir, you are incorrect. the pre-lim deals are going until they are all sold. so in other words, the first four special, is good till the first four are all sold. today was just the final day i had for the wheels special for SVTP members. our cost on wheel finishes is going up a bit. but i can still hook up svtp members pretty good ;-)

the boxes are back and are ready to ship..!

just an fyi, the boxes are all plain aluminum finish. while with the welders, they were slid around on the work bench and have some minor surface scratches on the sides (not really visible). the tops of each box are all in great shape. next run we're going to ask the welders to be a litttle more gentle with them but you know how THOSE guys are  :p

also, if you keep your stock IC res box AND run the ICey Res, you will need an additional hose since you are adding an additional component to the system. this box was designed with the intent of completely replacing the stock plastic intercooler reseviour box. Bob just had the idea of doing things a little differently, which i will be doing on my own truck as well. to Bob

Ok, question, To avoid condensation, could I just disconnect the AC fan under the dash at the track? (or wire a switch to the fans power lead ) Also, If mounted in its intended location, Will it need the lines extended? And last, Is there a way to mount it where the battery is?(or my case, used to be)

You could do just that or run the fan on LO to cause as little condensation as possible. The IR works the same no matter what fan setting is selected.

It bolts in as intended with little fuss. To change mounting locations you'd need the lines reconfigured somewhat.

fwiw, mine is a DD too and im keeping both. the more capactiy the better. i plan to replace my stock box with a custom made ice box (like lfp/pfab/etc). i know some guys run dual electric fans which lose the mounting location though. keeping the stock box is no extra work and only provides extra capacity. win-win situation.

Just got this in the mail.............

Hopefully this will get my downstream temps to 100* or below and not 175* - 185* and even below that at the track with the JLP bed mounted supercooler
