Carry her out and give her a complete balls to the wall run in 1st-3rd and ask her if she still wants to let her son carry it to prom.
OP, tell us more about the kid (attitude, grades, maturity, etc) and we can be more helpful)

eh, with a valet or no boost tune on there, I say let him do it.
THanks :beer: But in her defense she is a great parent ... she just does not understand how powerful these cars can be. Nor the fact that if you dont have good peddle control (on street tires) these things can get away from you real qwick.
Thanks for all the replies and ideas guys :beer:
Great kid, excellent grades, and mature for his age. Never in any trouble;
Yeah, didn't mean to bash on her parenting skills, just making a generalization. Take her out in the car and do a few quick acceleration runs and she'll realize that her son shouldn't be driving those cars.
Just be safe and tell her to keep his safety in mind. Something WILL happen if he drives those cars, its not even a question of if, but when.
One other point worth considering...
If my daughter's date attempted to pick her up in a car that had more than 100hp, I'd pull an Al Bundy on the kid and slam his head into the wall as I was showing him out the door. But that's just me. :shrug:
Seriously...it's hard to imagine the girl's parents would regard this a good idea. If they do, I would question their parental judgement.
