Last night at our local track, my son made it all the way to the finals in his daily driven 93 Mustang. That was only his second time racing during eliminations, although he has been to a couple of test and tune nights where they don't have eliminations. His previous best was second round. He did this with a 5 speed on ET Streets. He lost to a car that wins King of the Hill almost every week. his car has come a long way since he got it. From a dirty broken four cylinder coupe in a body shop storage yard to a fully swapped five liter.

He went a 13.37 @ 107. That was his best et so far. Rebuilt stock engine with a Cobra intake, exhaust. 4.10's and a little suspension work.

Congrats to your son and to you too, Dad! It is great that your son is learning the ropes of racing and putting in the work on the car. He will learn how to handle the 5.0 just like we did back in the day, and be safe doing it. Congrats again and good luck!

It was bracket style racing not heads up. This is the only picture I have from last night.
