Never heard of or saw that. Something has to be off with your mounting procedure.
Did you guys have any issues with the alternator aligning with the bracket?
The bottom bolt and the back top bolt go in and thread with no issues but the top bolt towards the front of the car binds a little because the angle is off slightly. You can see in the pic the alternator case does not sit flush with the bracket. As I start to snug that bolt the alternator no longer spins freely.
Only thing I can think of is grinding off part of the case so it sits flush. Do you guys have any better ideas?
