They ought to just make a 4.6L Whipple so your blower can have the same displacement as your motor. :idea:

I would spend my money on the engine first...Pistons , rods , bolts and crank connection will all need to be upgraded to handle safely what HP/TQ a 4.0 Whipple can produce. The fuel system is second. The lowering of the engine in a street car can cause some new issues with NVH. More HP is fun but it comes with a cost & not only $$$'s

Not the most efficient this efficient that blah blah blah . Why buy a blower then try to sell it later to buy the larger one after you build your motor ? Buy the blower you want pulley it down (6.5 crank pulley), then pulley up after you build the motor . In the mean time drive your car and enjoy it . Use the 4.0 to influence people and make friends. p.s. my 3.4 has not broke my crank ....yet.

Can't agree more on this, thats where I got the idea to just go with 4.0 when the time comes and be done with it. So basically what I gather from all this is that 4.0 can run on stock motor with low boost and the cobra R hood is sufficient space to clear the whipple.
