Shame shame OP!!! I'm with the others do not touch the shaker!

If a person is actually thinking of this, they should not be allowed to own a Mach 1. IMO

I bought a Mach 1 for this reason right here... There are atleast! 10 cobras for every one Mach 1. I bought a Mach 1 to be different.

The Mach 1 IMHO with the shaker makes cobras look like pussy GT's
Also I built my Mach 1 to kick EVERYTHINGS ass in!!!
And with over 800 rwhp safe tuned, I do just that

One up for the Mach 1 boys!! Keep them true brothers! Otherwise go get your self a Honda lol

Not quite.....03-04 Cobra's 19440 built VS 03-04 Mach 1 16834 built!
For every 1 Mach, there is 1.15 Cobra's.
And if you think i should not be allowed to own a Mach, because i swapped hoods. Your on crack!! A cars.....a car. As soon as you start to modify your car, it's worth less.....not more!

IMO the look the of the Mach 1 with the shaker hood helps them really pop and stand out. Mine is pretty much stock, basic mods (real basic) and I still draw decent amount of attention.

That was my thought process when I purchased one, you really don't see them that much.

You better check with My2003Mach1, you changed the rims....you might not be able to own the car anymore!!

OK Mr. technical!
Don't get your tampon wrapped up on your ball sack you hermaphrodite! It was a matter of OPINION. Your welcomed to your opinion as well.

I didn't mean to ruin your day by speaking out in a PUBLIC forum... I'll get your permission and approval next time.

Oh yeah and a car is not a car. I own a Mach 1 , Not a blowbra! and my Mach 1 is NOT my Saturn, nor is it my acura or my D-max, its a Ford Mach 1... its different! lol

Thanks for being a douche

JUST kidding :)

ok so i've been hearing mulitple things about the shaker and i'm trying to find out if its actually useful. im thinking about buying a cobra plenum and switching to a cold air set up. anybody have any suggestions or ideas

You can run a cold air setup with the Mach upper (it's not a plenum).

You know the shaker is functional, right?

The shaker is not functional in any way. Yes, there is a tube that connect it to the filter box but it in now way increases performance.

That was my opinion, you have your own too.
And thanks for calling me Douche, thats my middle name!
I can vouch for Brendan, his middle name is in fact, Douche.;-)

Whatttttttt. So your trying to switch to a different setup because you think you'll gain more power through a different air intake setup? You do realize that the stock intake with a K&N filter, provides nearly the same power gains as any of the RAI or CAI setups right?

The shaker was put on the car for looks, not to provide performance gains. If your looking for performance gains, look elsewhere on the car.

Yes to all of this
Shame shame OP!!! I'm with the others do not touch the shaker!

...and how much of this 800rwhp makes it to the pavement?

A mach without a shaker is just plain wrong! I missed my mach after selling it, I later bought a GT and had to put a shaker on it! Sorry I "may not" post attachments, or I would show more than just my avatar.

Omg, your Mach didn't have the shaker on it when you made that pull!!!!!!!!

I'm now revoking your Mach 1 owning privileges.

I'll fly out tomorrow to retrieve the keys.:D

I can see the intake, unless you have an invisible shaker, I don't think it's on there. Lol

so really its 4.75 cobras for every mach... but then thats only going to 04. guess the new ones would add to that. but the new machs would keep it even i guess.... oh wait!

Brendan was considering the only 03/04 Cobras "03-04 Cobra's 19440 built VS 03-04 Mach 1 16834 built!"

If you're gonna include all Cobras then you should include all 1969-1978 Mach 1s as well. There were 302,000 Mach 1s built between 1969 and 1978, where does that put the ratio?
