I've never had to ship a car before. It would be going from California to Arkansas. Any recommendations out there? Any good/bad experiences? I'm a "you get what you pay for" kind of person, so the cheapest doesn't appeal to me.

Thanks,
Spenser

I've shipped on before. The buyer paid the shipping and it was a very easy process. I don't remember the company off the top of my head though

I had a car shipped from CA to MI back in Feb, and used http://www.lambautotransports.com/ . They own a fleet of truck and are NOT brokers. Price was around $1300 and this was one of the cheaper company's I called, some quotes were up to $3K form other shippers. From my call to them to the time the car arrived at my house was around 14 days. I got lucky in that they had anther car to pic up about 20 miles form where my car was and it was going to IN.

I used Exotic Car Transport to ship my Cobra from Texas to South Carolina. No problems and pleased with the service.

How were they compared in terms of price with other companies?

I can't remember how their prices stacked up against the other guys but remember it being competitive with the others I looked at. I have the receipt right here in front of me and I paid $1288.00 for them to deliver it to my front door in South Carolina from Texas.

I shipped both of our WS.6s from California to Virginia using All American Trucking and Transport back in october and couldnt be happier! They are NOT brokers, and only use their own terminals if the vehicles need to change trailers. We went open carrer, top loaded. The cars had dust and a couple bugs on them, and that was about it. I took pics of the odometer when they were pulled on to the first trailer (dually/gooseneck) that took them to the terminal, and checked them as soon as they left the trailer upon delivery, with about a 1/4 mile difference.

Took em 8 days IIRC to deliver them to Va. They were great to deal with, and I would definetly use them again! I dealt with Justin, and he was a good guy to work with.

Intercity Lines, Inc.

I've used them twice and was completely satisfied with their service.

Intercity is probably the way I would go. They have a stellar reputation, and they are one of three carriers that Barrett Jackson recommends to their sellers/buyers.

Which carrier you choose, go enclosed carrier for sure!
