I like the trans dolly. Ha ha...

Nice work. Glad you got it done.

The dolly made it really easy to maneuver. Would’ve been tough to stab the transmission back in and line it up without help. The dolly allowed me to do it solo with ease.

Finally got the 03 registered. Cleaned her up and went for a cruise.

A few minutes into the cruise, I got a faint spray on the windshield. At first I thought it was rain, but it didn’t dry like water. It sprayed coolant through the driver side hood vent. Looks like it came from the cap. I’ll report my findings when I get a better look. It was too dark last night.

Burped the coolant and replaced the cap. Seemed to do the trick.

Changed the trunk struts on both cars. Couldn’t stand trunks closing under their own weight. 1 new strut was strong enough to hold the trunk open.

Did some work on the Mystic. Installed the new clutch cable and filled the transmission with fresh ATF. Ordered some gaskets and o-rings for the intake manifold. They should be in tomorrow so I can button everything back up.

I wouldn’t consider it stealing... I’m not the first, probably not the last! Lol

I’m going to do something similar on the 03 too

I saw it on yours and another car and it just looks good and in my opinion it ties into the chrome badges and I have polished wheels so it works!
Where’d you get them?

Got the tank straps from Glenn’s Performance and the inserts are UPR brand. I got them cause they’re actually stainless steel not SS colored vinyl stickers.

Finally off jack stands. Took the maiden voyage with the new clutch, FW, etc. shifts so nice. Engages near the floor, no chatter from the AL flywheel. Really happy with the results of my first clutch replacement. Cleaned the IMRC, fresh coolant.

When I the car was on jack stands, I got it all done late one night and decided to leave it in the air to double check everything with fresh eyes which ended up being 2 weeks later.

Got underneath everything looked great, put the car in the ground, and started working under the hood. All the sudden the car started rolling and hit the garage door! :dammit:

When I was reinstalling the drive shaft I took off the brake so I could get to all the bolts. Fast forward 2 weeks I forgot and never even looked. I was furious! But now that I cooled off I’m glad the garage door was down because it would’ve rolled into the 03 and damaged both cars.

Not a big deal because I have extra paint. Knowing this a grabbed a new S281 spoiler off eBay and planned to paint both at the same time.

Test fit the spoiler and was not happy with the fitment so I reinstalled the stock spoiler

I plan on painting the bumper next week. In the meantime I’m going to tackle the brakes. I changed the fronts recently, but reused the rotors. Had them cut, however, they were at their limit and appear to be warped.

Note the rust pattern

Purchased new rotors and decided to paint them to avoid the unsightly rust
