strange rattle from tranny

anyone else get an odd rattling noise from the tranny (or that immediate area) at low rpms under load? it goes away after 2000rpms. if it's just an annoyance i won't start digging around under there, but if it might be a known serious issue, i'd appreciate any opinions. thanks!

A kind of rattle, which sounds like marbles, is normal in these transmissions at low revs, particularly in 1st. I think it's bearing noise. Don't worry about it.

Unfortunately it is normal with the T-56 transmission. Some, though, are noisier than others.

Mine is dead quiet when cold..After warm up i have the same sound..

My old transmission did it when I drove it off the lot and hot or cold. My new transmission doesn't.
