I recently learned some news regarding the story I posted:

On January 5, the two Cobra owners were sentenced to prison for the street racing accident I described.

The driver of the car that hit and killed the woman was sentenced to 5 years in prison (with 85% of the sentence to be served as a mininum, 51 months) along with 5 years supervised probation and 10 years unsupervised probation. He is 20 years old now, and will be 40 when his time is served.

The other racer, who did not crash, received 3 years in prison and the same probation arrangements.

I feel so bad for the family of the boys, but also understand that their crime must be punished. It's a shame a few minutes on a nice October afternoon had to come to this.

That is some serious punishment! But unfortunately it can't bring back the life of the woman killed. Sad all around!
