The "he might only be able to afford one car" argument doesn't fly with me. If that were the case, he should of had a more reasonable vehicle for daily driving and weather conditions where he lived. As i said earlier, it's incredibly stupid to drive one of these cars in winter storms, ice, snow, or even hard rain depending on what tire you have.
Your safety should be more important to you than your impulse to have a hot ride. Unfortunately, this kid learned the hard way. Sad.
