Lastly "settled" to me will be when she has her license to practice medicine stripped and she is no longer allowed contact with either of her children, she is nothing short of a danger to others in her current capacity.

In the article it did say she plans to appeal so it’s not over yet.
I’m pretty sure I thought read somewhere she lost a lot of clients and her business suffered, possibly had to close down but couldn’t 100% positively say that.
The stupidest part of all of this...she’s not even the child’s biological mother.
I truly hope she has lost her business entirely and that local people see her for what she is, a nutcase. I can tell you that if this same situation involved my children's pediatrician I would immediately find somewhere else to take them. I would be concerned with someone like this trying to force things upon my kids/family.
I will admit that I have loosely fallowed this case due to the fact that it bothers me and have not read that this kid is not hers. That fact makes this situation even more shocking.
As cases like this have become more and more common I think at some point something drastic needs to be done in order to protect children from their own crazy parents. I am also growing concerned about eventual overreach in cases like this by doctors and even state governments. Imagine being told by a quack doctor like her and the state that your child is going to be put through gender reassignment because they like toys of the opposite sex. I do believe this is a real possibility in the not to distant future as the lunatic masses grow.
Now don't take that previous paragraph wrong, I am no fan of the government having additional involvement in my life but I do believe something on a national level needs to happen before a lot of children have their lives wrecked by lunatics just like her.

This is really great news! Now hopefully in time this "doctor" will somehow lose her license to practice. One can only hope that she will mess up big time to launch that process. I'm very happy for the dad. He's got to be so pleased and relieved.
Didn't expect this outcome, after a jury ruled against the dad the first time/case.
Fortunately it doesn't always shake out like that. My brother was able to get custody of his son at birth. Fought in court and although the mother was given WAY too many chances, he eventually kept full custody and continues to this day. He's 11 now.
As for the kid in the story that's great news. Just imagine all the kids out there where both parents think like that lunatic. Sad.
Just about every state gives mothers far too many chances. I have personally watched family members be put through hell by the court system giving drug addicted alcoholic jobless women chance after chance. To say the courts are biased is and understatement and usually keeps children in limbo for years. One case I know of took 3 years to work out to where the father was finally awarded full custody of his two kids.
I didn't see that in the article but if true that makes the first ruling in the woman's favor even worse if that was even possible.

Thank God I’m in Florida (never thought I’d say that).....During my divorce my crazy ex-wife tried to kidnap my children and move them to another town.
The judge slapped a pickup order on her ass in a hurry and granted me full custody during the case. In final judgement I got custody of them.
It was a female judge too.
