This and the new Titan take the cake for abomination of the year

oasting an entirely new grille and rugged looks, the 2015 Ram Rebel aims to attract outdoor-sport fans to Fiat Chrysler's growing truck brand.

The Rebel, unveiled today at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, is designed for those who ride trail bikes, go snowmobiling or skiing.

Truck enthusiasts will compare the Rebel with the Ford F-150 Raptor. The Ram brand is counting on the Rebel to generate excitement and to help the brand gain market share when it goes on sale this spring.

"We needed to create a truck that really says this is who I am," said Bob Hegbloom, CEO of the Ram brand. "It is very expressive. It will be for active lifestyles."

The Rebel will be available in either four- or rear-wheel-drive as a crew cab, four-door truck. Both the Hemi 5.7-liter and 3.6-liter V6 engines will be available.

Is it just me, or is the "Rebel" writing the same font as the Raptor font?

Looks more to be on par with a FX4 than a Raptor. It only has a 1" lift over standard 1500, and nowhere does it say it has the sort of suspension work the Raptor does.

The grill and tailgate make it ugly.

Dunno why they need to put RAM in 1 foot lettering on the back.

:lol1: The truck that clearly states you are trying way too hard....and failing miserably.

Yep, FCA themselves admitted it isn't meant to be a Raptor competitor.

....mostly because a Raptor would wipe the flloor with it. But this will be quite a bit cheaper.

It will probably be a good competitor for that stupid TRD sport tundra. Both are ugly ass trucks. Raptor FTW
