Third Brake Light/Tag Light/Trunck release issue

Hi guys, I just bought an 03 cobra and the third brake light does not work when the lights are on. However, it does work when the lights are off. Also the tag lights do not work when the lights are turned on, but when the lights are turned off and the trunk is open, the tag lights are on. Also the trunk light only works when the lights are turned off. The trunk release never works. Any ideas? I checked all fuses and they are good.

Someone crossed wiring it seems like.....trace your wires and go from there

I'd start by checking grounds also.

One thing that might be confusing you, I noticed on mine that the trunk light lights up the tag lights especially the driver side one

Resolved the issue months later guys. Ended up being a broken ground wire. Thanks for all the input!

It would have been quicker but the car was in the shop having the motor rebuilt!
