I ordered this kit from American Muscle about 2 months ago and finally got everything installed in the car. Other then Steve Turners seats i think im the first kit sold with airbags. Since this kit was so new they are made to order, which took roughly two weeks.

I was very happy with the quality of covers when first taken out of the box, i went with the vinyl over leather due to cost. Honestly, they look and feel like leather. Also the new foam is very comfortable and dense. The added bolster is very nice as well.

The install was actually not that bad, when i first opened the box it worried me. I had to email Waylon at TMI asking him what the rods included were for. Well luckily i picked up installing the listing rods with hog rings very quickly.

Here are some of the pics through the process

Out in the sun heating the vinyl to get the rest of the wrinkles out

There are still some minor wrinkles that should work them self out once the vinyl cools and go through a few heat cycles in the car.

The install wasnt too difficult but very tedious. I was very happy with the way they came out for my first ever upholstery job. I want to tank Charles (Charba951) for helping my remove and install the seats in the car and Nate (5spd07GT) for helping with the upholstery install.

Let me know what you guys think

zporta, you have some nice mods installed on your Shelby, and I am partial to Blue also. I am just south of your location and thinking about joining MACA. Going to MIR next week, but didn't see you on the list?

See me on the maca list? Or Mir?

I am a maca member, but won't be attending MIR

I don't drag my car, just a weekend cruiser.

Z, Those look just drop dead gorgeous in your car, I will do the same this season if you let me sit in them at Carlisle in June and I like the fit.
Thanks!

MIR. Mine is mostly a street car for weekend cruising also, but I enjoy blasts down the quarter mile every now and then. Maybe our paths will cross at another MACA event down the road.

I still need to upload the pics I took. I see where I stand though. Didn't even mention me. Atleast I got free lunch. The seats are extremely comfortable. I first sat in them at SEMA last year and then again last weekend at Zaks. It's a really nice kit that pretty much anyone can install in half a day. An extra set of hands makes it way easier though.
