If it hooks then starts to spin, that's likely the suspension loading, then unloading. You're lowered but don't have a way to set your pinion angle--what does "-2*" mean to you? Kelly made a nice video explaining what pinion angle is and how it should be set for different cars. Are your bump stops cut? If not, you could be squatting too much, hitting the bump stops, causing the suspension to unload.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Sounds like I will try an adjustable poly upper.

I am NOT lowered. I have stock gears (3.15)

I followed Kelly's video on pinion measurement. Did it when I had the ds out so it was much more accurate. -2* means the pinion was 2 * down from the centerline of the trans
