There's so much discussion on whether a turbo BOV can be used on a blower car. Everyone has an opinion and always tries to sound like an expert but since dis izz da interwebz I figured I would do my own research. Here is what I have found.
The basic issue that people take with putting a turbo BOV on a blower car is that the valve will not vent at idle.
Who's building boost at idle? The real issue is how many pounds of vacuum it takes to open the valve. I will use the greddy type S and Vortech Maxflow for this comparison.
Greddy starts to open at 17 in and is fully open at about 25.
Vortech comes set to open at 3 inches but can be adjusted up to 6.
These are facts not opinions. Now how much vacuum does a 2V GT with a Vortech run?
