1.75 primaries are BIG. But results are results. That kind of increase on a 6lb stock eaton is very good.

I'm Apten ported, built, and spraying 200 worth. I'm pretty sure I can put those big pipes to good use. ;)

Yes the JLP race setup is 3"

What are the primarys on the JLP setup? What makes that setup 3K vs this setup for under a grand?

That was my main question.

Clint...I forgot to mention, if you wanted to buy just the headers you could do that as well, once we start the GB later today, just let us know.

As for comparing brands, were not going to get into that, we'll leave that up to you guys. Obviously they have a lot of R&D into them and the have their own reasons for that. As we mentioned before we wanted to get a nice quality header on the market that would be affordable and make good power.

Could you post the before and after dyno graphs please? Was this with high flow cats?

The JLP R system has 1 5/8 primary to 1 3/4" tubes and on into a 3" collector.

For the $$ you won't find a better bargain than the MSX units IMO.

I'm confused on the carbon steel/stainless steel comment. I'm no expert, but I've never seen a carbon steel header. Is this header a stainless steel header or is it just ceramic coated? I'm very interested in this but I just want to make sure I know everything I can about it before I commit.

Also, I have a Bassani catback exhaust now. What would have to be done to mate up these headers to my catback, or is it sensible to do so since the collectors are 3" and my catback is 2.5" piping?

"Carbon steel" just means it's a low quality steel. If it weren't for the ceramic coating inside and out.. these wouldn't last very long.

You can't beat SS for a header.. but the raw material cost is 3-4 times that of a mild steel.

You can step the pipe down to a 2.5" cat back. And actually.. I'd recommend it if your on a stock block with an eaton. The only guys who really can use a 3" full exhaust are guys like me pushing massive amounts of exhaust with heads, increased boost, and/or big shots os nitrous.

Ill try to get the graphs up, i need to scan the baseline graph, and Billy has the one from today. The gain Pete posted above (31rwhp/40rwtq) was headers, catless mids, and a stock Catback. The A/F ratio was 12.2, and i know i could get a little more out of it, by bumping it to 11.8.

That would be great bro! Was there any tuning changes between pulls? The gain was amazing.

Did it lower your boost at all?

Thanks
Travis
