That was an awesome game. I'm not a hockey fan per se, but that was one exciting match. I agree, Canada's offensive pressure was oppressive the entire game, Miller was a brick wall. Hope we see a Canada/USA gold metal game. It would be nice to see a North American final with our friends to the North.

Single elimination is a dangerous format for the team that is supposed to win, a couple of bad bounces or just not having a good game and your done. Both teams are looking very good but Canada is just loaded with offensive talent.
As long as Canada keeps Luongo between the pipes we should make a good run to the Gold Medal game.

Congrats Canada! You almost blew it. Slovakia decided to start playing a little too late.
Our defense fell apart in the 3rd. I was standing up yelling at the TV for the last 3 minutes. Its time to regroup and go back to the mindset we had when playing Russia.
The TV networks could not have wished for a better outcome if they want to expand the NHL viewership in the States. The last US Canada game was the highest watched event ever watched in Canada.

They were cocky before the 1st game and they were cocky before the junior teams played each other too. We know how those turned out.
Hold it now...We're not all cocky. I think it will be a very good close game without a doubt. I, obviously will be cheering for Canada but the US stands a good chance of winning...We shall see later today, cant wait!
