I would not turn the Tq reduction off....

THis is word from Greg Evans the maker of the Factory Tech Valve Body that the CHiken man sells....If you have Pred...I know that you can (an also suggested by Greg) to reduce it by 50%. The predator allows for 100% on, 50% and 0-off) I have the 2c and tq reduction reduced to 50%, been like that for about 2+years....and works perfect. Tq reduction is where the PCM cuts fuel to 4 cylinders for .4 seconds. Cutting by half reduces that to .2. Turning it off has been shown to hurt the tranny.

2c= firm 1-2 shift@WOT, Crisp at cruise, Crisp 2-3 and 3-4
2cr= hard 1-2 @wot, firm at cruise, crisp 2-3 and 3-4
4c that was made (bout 10 or so) had a firm 1-2 and 2-3 @wot, crisp at cruise and a crisp 3-4

Snakestress' truck does the same I wanna say its the boost bypass jobbie.
Now if the 4c VB isn't sold anymore, are custom orders possible? Or would a LFP or JLP VB be the closest thing to a 4c possible?

kryo-genik, When it shifts from 1-2 and from 2-3 its when i hear the psst and I dont have the bypass. As for the custom vb I dont know. billy actually adjusted my stocker vb with a kit from lfp the first time I was up there to his shop, he told me to try it out and see how I like it. He said that what he did was like having a 2c vb and it did shift a little harder but no big diff. I told him I wanted someything that would tear those tire when shifting and I ask about the 4c that I heard of and he said if you want something like that I'll get it for you. So this time i went up there he installed the new vb and i ask him where he got it and he said chickenears. So i assume it was a 4c but know guys are telling me that the 4c is not in production. I'm calling msx today and clear these out. The only thing I can assure is that these vb rips them 1-2 and 2-3 and at crusing when it shifts its hard and firm.

A few years ago Gregg Evans modified his valve body accumulator for the diesel guys. Those were the 4C's. Gregg sold a small number of them but he never mass produced them

The 2CR's are valve body accumulators setup for racing. I believe they are made to order.

I have a Valve body from Chicken Ears. I have yet to put it on. Just looked at it. On the side of mine it says in marker. 2C. Now if I could just find the time to put the Darn thing on.

It only takes about an hour.

I would, if my torque wrench would ever show up....:cuss:
I am a stickler for having to do it right. When it comes to tightning bolts to right specs. I have my regular ft lb torque wrench. But I'm waiting for my inch lb torque wrench to show up. I orderd one about 3 weeks ago. I need one for my other project thats in the garage...

So your bypass acutator has not been screwed with in anyway shape or form? If i read that right Id say that little psst is the boost dump when shifting. My truck will do it...and I dont have a VB yet. Snakestress' trucks damn near sounds like a turbo blow off LOL

well mine has been on only a few days but my 1-2 is as hard as 2-3. Dont know if it will be the same in a few months but it rips the tires everytime it shifts.

If its like mine, then it just seems like the 2-3 is harder. The 1-2 shift seems softer because it breaks em loose, and the 2-3 has traction on the shift. Thats just what ive noticed though.

i dont feel them get lose???
