I'm currently running a Vortech JT-B on a built motor (non sleeved) with a 3.15 pulley and a 20% od balancer. I'm seeing right about 20psi and making somewhere between 8-900whp. Car is a beast.

My question is this: on a stock motor car, without the OD balancer and say a 3.8 pulley, would this setup be safe? I'm going to be pulling this off my car soon and selling it because I've come across a great turbo opportunity. Id like to know if this is a good fit for someone not looking to make the power I'm making.

I I know other variables such as fuel and supporting mods will play a factor but compared to a V3 or a 2200sl would this setup be comparable or overkill?

Definitely with a big pulley and quality tuner the jt will be fine. The owner could even wastegate the setup if worried about too much power.

I see no issue and would love to have that head unit

I've talked to a few people that run a Jt on stock motor.

Edit: Nevermind, I'd probably need an 8 rib setup for this unit.
