more than likely yes, being as GTO's make good power but are way too heavy. There was an 03-04 GTO or whatever year with the LS2 350hp motor at the track, couldn't break 13's...he was launching good too, oops hah

A good driver can coax a stock LS2 05 GTO to 12.8 with a 1.9 60ft. If his Cobra is running faster then he will win. We have a few boys running 12.6s at 110mph with Nitto drags on the rear. With my new clutch and recent dyno tune I will be in the 12.90s with my 04 (LS1). You have to practice to get this pig off the line. The weight and IRS is a bitch. Solid axles are the way to go on the drag strip. IRS is for the road courses (where I'm usually at).

I think a stock 05 GTO and a stock 03/04 Cobra would be a great race with equal drivers. :rockon:
