It can be 80 degrees one day, then snow the next.
It can flood, then have a drought...in the same week.
We can have an eclipse then a bug plague.

****ing 100....TRILLION....cicadas are about to pop out of the ground.

Let's put that in perspective.

  1. Each one averages weighing 2 grams. That's 220 million....TONS. That's 2200x's heavier than an aircraft carrier.
  2. Each one is 1-1/2" long, so let's use 1 1/4" for easy math. That's 4,037,467,700 miles if they're end to end. That's 162,140 trips around the Earth OR just over 21 trips to the sun and back.

**** me.

These cicada stories are sensationalism too. Last year was supposed to be some double batch or something. Year before that was the “biggest” year too.

Until they’re doing some 10 Plagues shit, I don’t care.

They're some aimless mf'ers that's for sure.. like a june bug except worse

I do like to hear them buzzing in the trees on a smoking hot texas summer day though. Wouldn't be the same without 'em.

Supposed to get them here in Georgia too.
Saw them when I moved here in 2011. I think they were a different version but they were still loud AF.

Sitting on 6" of snow.
Currently 30*F and snowing.
Don't think I will have to deal with it here.
Also don't think it will be as bad as "projected"
They can't even get the Weather Forecast right 70+% of the time.

We'll be free of them (or minimally affected) according to the maps I've seen. (y)

Very mild winter.
Edge of the earthquake.
Not quite the total eclipse.
Edge of the cicada outbreak.

Makes me think somewhere down the road, in the not to distant future, we gonna have it handed to us. Add to that my luck in nearly everything lately has been bad, I wanna go hide for a year or so.
