I have seen people all over the place in this motor. What will it handle on 93 and what will it handle on race gas? Looking to go forced induction and liking to make 800 plus wheel hp. Who has experience with these motors and what power levels can they really take? Also where is the best place to buy them. I have seen as low as 7800. Thanka

Drew at AED's custom TT setup on his Saleen made 890rwhp and 990 rwtq on 18psi on C16.. Thru a 4r70w.. He's not keeping it at that level but it held lol..

Should be good for 1000hp. the rotating assembly could handle more but the cylinder walls could be a liability after 1000hp.

Depends on the power adder, but 800rwhp should be fine. We've had customer make over 1000rwhp w autos, lots of racing. Might be the minority there w block strength, but I think tune has a lot to do with it and he was set in that area.

Depends on what power added....turbo will be safer as it doesn't take hp to make hp....I went 9.16 @ almost 152 with my 9.5 aluminator using a oil fed Paxton and made 884 wheel hp. I would say 750-775 all day with a centri or pd setup and around 850 with a turbo would be the limits if u expect longevity...I broke my block very last pass of the year but I was at the track evey Saturday from May-Oct....am now going to a sleeved shortblock with all arp and probably back to 11:1....

have made six 8 second passes @ 156 mph. at 20 psi it starts pushing boost into cooling system. I figure head studs would cure that.

Manley states the h-beams are good to 750+ with ARP 2000 fasteners.
