What did you do for your Terminator today?

Didn't actually *do* much but I did take a several hour roadtrip in the Cobra down to see some friends over the weekend. I got pretty horrendous gas mileage on E85 lol, but otherwise didn't miss a beat. Nice to be able to jump in and drive without having any issues for a bit.

I did get the itch for more power after riding in my buddies 830whp A&A-blown C5 Z06 while there though . There's always something faster, right?

Didn't you use Malcolm in the past? Any reason for the change up?

What mods are you doing now?

2.6 upper pulley, changed the long tubes, 5" VMP intake and 05+maf. Like 2003RedfireVert said Malcolm is no longer doing remote tuning.

I really like Malcolm tunes and all the work he put into making the car run great.

The threads for one of the downstream o2 sensors were f’d up so I had to send the mid pipe back. Excepting delivery tomorrow so hopefully this weekend she will have a new setup on and ready to growl

J2Fab intercooler and manifold
Trunk tank/EMP/single pass HE

This has been a protracted/prolonged project, but it is finally done!

I had amassed parts to build a Teksid-based engine and bought the G5whipple, but ended up selling everything. Too busy with life/three little kids right now.

I’d initially planned to keep an underhood IC reservoir but got irritated with how congested these cars are - AC/PS lines, bypass hoses, lower radiator hose, brakes lines etc - ended up using 1” feed/return to the trunk tank. I made a bracket to mount the pump to keep the inlet directed toward the front of the car/tank outlet as much as possible. Used Rivnuts in the trunk pan to secure the pump.

I moved the thermostat to the top side and deleted the oil cooler.

Added charging posts to keep the battery topped off while sitting in the garage.

While everything was apart I had the injectors cleaned and flow-matched and clean the pre/post fuel filters.

Had a fun discovery when the J2 flow mod sprayed water everywhere the first time I primed the pump…luckily a friend was able to tig weld the crack on the lower/feed tube….

I had a fun adventure with the stock caged lower assembly. Probably should have left mine alone… But there was maybe 1/16” of rotational play, And after a few mishaps… And three stock caged lowers later, I am back in business!

Found some 15x10 alumastars for the back and really liking the look.

Swapped blue cam covers. I think they look good, but in hindsight would not recommend anyone replace them….at least the drivers side lol, what a nightmare.

Thanks man - made pretty easy with trunk battery

I don’t drive it daily and have a tiny lithium battery so it’s good to have it on a tender and not have to open/close the trunk each time

Congrats on finishing your build. So, you DIDN'T sell the Whipple? Or you did and then bought another one?

Mind you, the interior on this car was neglected before my ownership. I bought it from the original owner. All florida car, interior took a beating slowly bringing it back to life. This ConAir thing worked. Thanks to everyone who suggested it! Any tips on keeping these seats from getting the same stuff happening? I’ve noticed wearing jeans in it really doesn’t help

Dan, I never had an issue wearing jeans when I had my Cobra. My main concern back then was the blue dye leeching into the seat fabric. Never happened, fortunately. My suggestions would be to be sure your jeans are really clean, and maybe consider regular vacuuming and use of a good Alcantara cleaner, like this one on Amazon. I'm not a fan of seat pads or seat covers. The Terminator seats are too nice looking/feeling for that.

I think the seats were just extremely filthy, it’s hard to explain where I bought the car from without you living in Florida. It was out in the country for lack of a better explanation. I’ll try and send a photo of when I picked her up. She lived in a barn type place, and lived a mile down a gravel road. Hence why I think the ABS sensor was covered in dirt, and such. I’m gonna order that cleaner and such right now along with some more microfiber towels. Since I don’t reuse them for customers cars, or my own. I blow thru 450 packs fairly quick.

I can sort of imagine how dirty the seats were. I've seen some nasty one posted on SVTP over the years. Hopefully that cleaner will work well for you. Alcantara isn't as easy to keep clean as a smooth/Napa leather usually is, but it is easier than suede to keep clean. And, when clean Alcantara looks awesome IMO.

The Good: Loaded my E85 tune (E75 technically…). Idles great. Until it warms and it surges. If I boil the throttle it cleans up again. It might be due to the ISC settings I modified. I’ll revert them back and see how it does.

The Bad: my J2Fab alternator I bought this spring took a sh*t. Ain’t charging. Kind of pissed since I could have changed it when everthing was off. I bought a cheapo stock rated one off RockAuto. If this works I’ll look at aftermarket options. Why is it so difficult to get a reliable alternator for these cars? Seems like every aftermarket ‘nator is hit or miss. I don’t want to spend &400-500 again just to have it crap out.
