What is Everyone Calling this Car?

I am just curious, because I keep hearing people refer to this car in many different ways. Just like the 03-04s are dubbed Terminators, are these destine to be called GT500s? What are you guys hearing people tell you they are? I just think it is funny, because each person I run into on the street has their own version of the name.

Most people seem to call them 500 or Shelby. 500 is highly misleading considering that Ford has a model named five hundred.

I call it the "Shelby" for short but long version is "Shelby GT500".

When I tell people I just bought a new Shelby GT500, most think I bought a restored car from the old days. I just tell them nope, it's faster!

A kid pulled up next to me in a Fox body tonight and said "that isn't a real Shelby is it". I told him, for what it cost it better be. He then asked me if it had the 4.6 or the 5.4 in it.

Naw, I think he's right. There were articles about this somewhere that Ford dropped the Cobra name and even though it still bears the emblem, it's not a cobra. Not sure what ever came of it though.
