What Oil for New Shelby

What weight and what brand of oil are you Guys using in these vehicles ?
I still got 25 liters of Mobile One 5W30 that i used in the 97 Cobra .
Can this oil be used on the 2010 Shelbys ? N

No, you can't use the 30w! Ford dealerships have the correct oil, its 5w/50 oil!

I use Castrol 5W-50 synthetic in mine.

Is Castrol the only Aftermarket 5/50w avaiable ? What about Amsoil, Redline Royal Purple or Mobile .

Well supposedly mobile one makes a 5w50 that (i think) BMW uses but it's not packaged in a mobile one bottle.
I personally use the motorcraft. I have only changed it once at 1k miles and still only have 3500 miles. I think I have enough motorcraft for one more change then i'll probably go with the castrol also.

People look at me like I'm crazy or stupid when I ask for 5w50. But I found castrol at sears and was cheaper than for by a couple of bucks a qt

i know they wouldn't it doesnt meet ford specs. use at your own risk. im sure its good oil, just not for the GT500.

Last time I checked only the Motorcraft and Roush meet spec. Castrol was working on the spec. I use Castrol, which didn't meet the exact spec, but was close enough IMO.

Don't get caught up with Mobile 1 anyway, its a good syn, but not the best
