With a Steggy stage IV, what pulley combination would you use? I currently have a 2.76" Billetflow w/ idlers and a stock lower. My goal is to get to 500 hp and 500 ft lbs. Can I use the same belt and stock alt pulley with a 2.76" + 2 lb combo and still reach those numbers? If so, I'd like to go that route to save a little bit of money.

i made 490/550 without a ported eaton

It may depend on the dyno. I talk to some people at modular powerhouse who said they had 660rwhp and then got dyno'd by MPH and had 590...

Sarf's got it! Instead of the BAP you can go with twin GT pumps though. You can definately go with the 2.76/2lb. pullies just make sure your belt is tight though. That's why the 2.93/4lb. is a more common combo is because of the extra belt wrap on the upper with the 2.93.

I really wouldn't want to go any smaller overall than the 293/4 setup. Even with these pullies, I've had to notch the tensioner, and add a 100mm BF snub idler to cure my belt slip issues.

For the record, I'm running the new style BF idler, stock idlers everywhere else, and the lowest idler int he top position on the metco plate. I'm also running a K080797 Gatorback belt. It fits tight as a banjo string now.

what about a 2.8 and 4# lower?? that's what im going to put soon along with injectors and maybe BAP. BTW my car made 502/490 in 95* day. i have 4 piece idlers with the 2.8 using a gates 74.5" belt and no belt slip whatsoever. go to billetlfows website and they have a chart for all kind of pully combinations

i always heard that you cant go any bigger than a 2lb lower or it will over spin the eaton  so i guess its not true right guys ??? thanks

To keep up with an eaton these days you are goin to have to spray it AND pully the piss out of it, unless you want to pick on unsuspecting bone stock ls1's, evo's etc. But if you plan on runnin with the big boys run a 2.8/6lb and a 100 shot to cool the charge, that wont be near enough if you run into me or the people I run with though.
