OP is a rich car dealer, he should pay, but for us regular folk we don't have to.

/s

I could see a team asking for help, in turn making a banner with your logo for advertisement. Even then, it would have to be a sport that's not gay.

Sign up their email to grindr, pornhub, tinder etc...

If (when) people have kids, it's their responsibility to pay the expenses to support them. Sports teams, Day care, whatever. if you can't afford to pay the shot, A) you shouldn't have had kids and B) the kid doesn't get to be involed in the sport. We had 3 kids and paid the shot for everything that they were involved in. some sports are more expensive than others and sometimes the answer was no, you can't do that sport this year.

I with the tell them to "get fukt" crowd but the real question is do you:
A) Reply with how you really feel.
B) Reply with a "kid glove" answer.
C) Ignore the email all together.

My son switched last year from flag football to tackle football as he is now in 8th grade and wants to play in high school next year. Since it was his first year of tackle we had to pay for everything: helmet, pads, etc. as well as game uniforms and the registration fee for entering the league. The total was around $1k. The team tries to "recycle" gear (if your son outgrows something, donate it to the team so another kid can use it, etc.). We simply paid for it. If we couldn't afford it, he would have just kept playing flag football because the expenses are under $200. Never would have thought that I could have asked local business owners to pay for it. LOL

The team also runs legit fundraisers to raise money for team expenses. For example, we are going to a tournament in Phoenix next month and the entrance fee for the team is $350. The team moms are running a garage sale (which is weird in Vegas...don't see many of them here) and we are teaming with a local restaurant where 10% of their sales from 5pm - 10pm on a specific date will go to our team. That will definitely pay for our team's entry fee in Phoenix.

I don't understand the angle by the parent(s) in the OP. Just straight up asking for a handout? Crazy shit.

Agree with this. When my son played pop warner we covered initial expenses. When his team made it to the championships in Florida we had a couple team fund raisers. But we still covered the difference in the end.

If I see the kids out doing the leg work to raise funds, I support them, as long as its for something good in my opinion. Sports fall into this category.

Shows work ethic and teaches them that work = reward.

Not on board with the parents calling for a hand out. Maybe if the team itself were looking for a sponsor.

For all you know that’s a Nigerian Prince emailing you.

I replied back with:

First off, congratulations to your daughter! I'm sure she's excited, and I'm sure your wife and you are so incredibly proud of her accomplishments!

We don't sponsor individual athletes. I wish you all the best and good luck with your season!

I voted for sponsorship if you are in a bad place. Maybe i interpreted the question differently sincd i was the only one. But i took that as a business sponsoring a whole team and getting advertising from the deal.
