My wife wrecked our suv a few months back and she had been laid up with a broken leg. Today I went out looking at cars at our local Ford dealership where my friend works. They had a nice grey 08 Expedition Limited and an 08 F-150 KR. If you had a choice which would you prefer from the same year? I am not in that big of a need of a truck since I have a 2011 F-150 supercab w a 5.0 provided from work

I'd take the expo limited. I really like the look of those with the body colored grills.

+you can't go wrong with all the nice creature comforts the limited expo's come with

My brother has an 08 expy EL. He loves it! Plenty of room and gets 18-19 mpg on the highway. He said that it gets as good or better mpg than his 02 4.0 explorer he traded in for it. If you don't need a truck, I'd go with the SUV everytime. Much better to throw stuff in the back of the SUV than a truck where its exposed to elements and risk of being stolen.

I love both. The king ranch interior is so sick. But I think the expedition makes more sense in your case.

How many miles on the Expedition? Check the service records, and you might want to pull an OASIS report. The 07 & 08 models had some issues with the 6 speed transmission, which was new in the Expedition for 07. FWIW, I have an 09 Ltd EL, and I love it. With 4x4 however, I average around 16 mpg. Still, a great vehicle and I have no issues to report.

I like the KR's but honestly I think the Expedition would fit your needs more.

I would agree. The Expo has more general utility because the back is covered. You can still put stuff (like from Home Depot) in the back and you have a lot more interior room for passengers when needed. I do like the interior of the King Ranch (my son-in-law has a 2008 F350 King Ranch), but IMO the Expedition makes more sense. Lower miles on the Expedition, and you already have a truck.
