Just like the title states, does anyone have any idea of when Ford will be starting to accept orders for or start building 2014 gt500s. I know others have been waiting longer but i've waited 9 weeks and havent heard a damn thing yet. It really pisses me off that Ford can't give any kind of ETA to some of us who have been waiting so long.. (many longer than me) Honestly, if the ZL1 performed at par with or even close to the gt500 I would have bought one without a doubt.

Sorry went on a little rant there. But back to the topic, any idea on 2014s? At this point i'll feel like I got an old car in the dead of winter at this point.

I'm waiting on a 1st allocation 2014 now. Surfing every night trying to decide what color it will be.

2 different things on this

Plant shut down is scheduled for thanksgiving- New years to retool for the '13 Fusion

November is the end of being able to order a 13 GT500.

They will probably build out the 13 GT500 model year by February.

Check out this post. The author is suppose to be a dealer.
Look at the last sentence in the first post.

2014 Mustang details are starting to arrive...

Don't even need to click the link and I know what you are referring to.

14 Mustangs- non GT500 will be started months earlier than the GT500, as that has been the case for the last few years as well.

GT500s, 2014, will be built starting in March, 2013

I guess it was just wishful thinking on my part. It looks like my order for a 2013 may not be allocated and I was hoping that the order bank would open early so I don't have to wait another 9 months for a car.
I will keep an eye out for a good deal on a 2013.

I will have access to a 14 allocation- for MSRP- guess I won't know about less than MSRP until 13 is built out.

Keep looking!

With all the lack of activity at the plant this month and in Nov and December, I don't see many cars built between now and January. It looks like there may be as few as 6 or 7 weeks of production left this year. I sure hope I am wrong.

I think more like 8-10 weeks left.

Chris, What have you heard about plant closings in Sept, Nov & Dec?

This is what I have come across, maybe true, maybe not.
First 2 weeks in Sept.
Most of Nov.
At least the last 2 weeks of Dec.

I have heard 10 days in September

Thanksgiving to Christmas, or possibly new years. More like the latter I feel.

Which would leave 2 weeks in September, 4 in October 3 in November and a couple more on January
