I'm confused and don't know what gears to do in my 13 GT500. I go to the track every 2 months and I drive the car 2 or 3 time in a week and the car makes 755whp

I'm torn between 3.73's 3.90 and 4.10's!

Puerto Rico doesn't have too many places for a 200mph run, I'm voting 4.10s, love mine!

4.10 is perfect in our cars. The homo above me went 11.03 @ 128 with just 4.10s and a tune on 20" tires.

No homo--sorry to break your heart :fart: :lol1:

Major: to get more specific, until you hit 800rwhp you should be faster at the strip with 4.10s. You're getting close with 740 but the rear tire size is a big factor. If your using a slick remember they grow at speed and reduce your gear size, making the 4.10s even better. I like the 3.90 compromise for bigger power cars but remember For Racing doesn't offer 3.90s so their quality MIGHT not be as good, I usually try and stick with Ford gears myself.
Buyfordracing.com for great deals.

4.10's hands down:burnout:

Yep, especially with those 29" slicks you run which are a good 30" at the traps.
What rpm do you guys trap at with a maxed TVS combo?
I'm thinking of doing the same, built TVS and 29/29.5 slicks?
Dare I say 4.30s MIGHT be worth a try

Hahahahaa agree!!!

Good friend of mine from school went back to Puerto Rico where he's from, we're supposed to go down to visit on a vacation, he told me he'd take me to a drag strip. I thought it was crazy to hear there's like 3 tracks on the island. (and at least one sweet new GT500 :) )

The 4.10 works for 1/2 mile?

Do you mean for 1/2 mile top speed events?
I would think you would need to calculate the RPM based on estimated speed in 1/2 mile and 5th gear.
Definitely something to discuss with the standing mile guys, especially Van.
Google "Wallace racing performance calculators" for all types of fun :)
BTW, on the highway, I am right about 2000rpm with 4.10s and a 315/35/20 tire (taller than stock).

I have 4.10 but never been to track yet and have no idea how fast she can go but it felt pretty fast after installation driving on the street. Lots of people on here say stock 3.31 gears are best for supercharged car too . So i am confused.
