I ran an 11.17 @ 117 w/1.65 60 foot time, last weekend. Drove 50 miles each way to the track, ran skinny 235/60/15 drag radials, full tailpipes and mufflers, pump 91 octane fuel, no hood scoop, stock suspension 65 Nova. I think there are a few faster on this board but they probably don't drive to the track, they run open headers, and run slicks. I could be wrong though? I don't vist here often.

So if we are gonna talk about past hot Rods I have several in the 10 second bracket. Most memorable is the 78 KZ 1000 w/N2O that ran consistent 10.2's @ 124 MPH. And then there were several Vega's that were street driven in the 10.5's. And then............
Nova weighs 3400 with my lead ass driving. I wanna run 9's street driven, dr's, in the Nova. That's my goal.
I thought this thread was about current rides?

I think I weigh a little under 3600- like 3560 with between 1/4&1/2 tank of gas & all the crap in the trunk, but I weigh 165 so that helps a little.

I could have a cobra but the cost was alot more at time of purchase plus insurance and all that. Anyway there aren't to many GT's
running what my car runs. I don't have to much in car most of parts were bought cheap or some used. I like my GT alot specially color.

Times in sig.

Trailerd car 400+miles to track, ran these ETs, and then DROVE it the 400+ miles back, because a broken 2000 WS6 needed to use my trailer. Car got 25mpg on the drive back.

I am hoping for 10.90's with stock untouched heads, cam, intake and computer (w/ 12 lb vortech). I have ran 11.40 at 122 on ET streets during a FF true street last year. I have knocked several tenths off in the 1/8th mile since that time. I ran a 7.17 at 97 mph granny shifting in the 1/8th last Dec. with a 1.49 60 ft. and have added HAL fully adj. struts and aluminum ds since then. I will still be happy even if I only run consistent 11.20's though. BTW I drive to the track, also. It is kind of fun to pull up to the line and outrun a trailered, uncapped race car, too.
Later, Kirk
