Who takes there hood insulator off?

Just did mine and opened the vents. Held them with double sided tape until further notice. Thanks everyone for the info and pics.

i got a KN FIPK air filter the under the hood kind, if a take off my hood pad , it;s not going to seal up agaist the hood tight ...correct? or do i need the get the KENNE BELL monster fenderweld one ? thanks
