Full Tilt Boogie Racing is finally ready to introduce our 2 pc lightweight 13" front Cobra rotors. These rotors are a direct replacement for all Cobras from 1994 through 2004 using the OEM PBR calipers or the Y2KR Brembo four piston calipers.
Because Mustangs are heavy, particularly on the front end, these would be a great addition to anyone looking to reduce weight. With rotors being unsprung, rotating mass, this weight reduction comes as a huge bonus.
Two versions of these rotors are available. A lightweight version for street and strip use and a heavy duty version for road racing track dawgz.
Both versions of these rotors utilize the same hardcoated aluminum hat and attaching hardware. The only difference in the two versions is the rotor casting that is used to make the finished product.
Both rotor castings are manufactured by Coleman Racing. All rotors are directional vaned for high performance cooling, stress relieved, slotted and clear zinc plated.
Weight savings are as follows. Brembo one pc rotor weighs in at a hefty 19.1#.
Our lightweight rotor for street and strip use weighs in at 14.7# each. This equates to a weight savings of 4.4# each for a total savings of 8.8#. The air gap on this rotor is .620" and the rotor face thicknesses of .250" each.
The heavy duty road race version weighs in at 16.18# each for a weight savings of 2.92# and a total weight savings of 5.84#. This rotor has identical air gap, .520" and rotor face thicknesses of .295" as the 1pc Brembo.
Replacement rotor rings will be available for $163.50 and come slotted and zinc plated. No drilled rotors will be offered. Non-slotted rotors would be available on a special order basis at a nominal cost savings.
Both version of rotors are the same price, $595.00 for the pair plus freight. This is the first prototype pairs we have run and the heavy duty pair is already sold. The street strip version is available for immediate delivery.
