I'm planning a bunch of small projects for my Cobra when i go get it next weekend including:
1. rolling rear fenders
2. installing cut springs (1 full coil removed)
3. going over my catback with 2000 grit sandpaper and repolishing it
4. T56 AntiVenom mod
5. painting front and rear calipers
6. new front hub assemblies (currently have 3" studs and my wheel bearings are bad so a full replacement is in order

i've got all the stuff i need for these projects except a decision on what color to paint my calipers.....thoughts? pics?
also, anyone with some pics of 18" wheels and 1" full cut stock springs just so i can make 100% sure thats the look i want?

I just painted mine last week - RED! Turned out great and will look good once they are on. The G2 paint on the rear calipers looks better than the anniversary powdercoated fronts. Fortunately, the color matches pretty close with the G2 a little more glossy.

I went 3 coats black duplicolor caliper paint, then i used a new razor blade to scrape the cobra letters off, then used 3 coats regular automotive clear not the high heat stuff it leaves a white residue for some reason. But they turned out great. Ill try to snap some pics tomm.

the G2 kit works great. very durable. I did mine black. Id also suggest that you mix up half the batch (or a little more than half) do the front calipers. the instructions say to do two layers. I did all four and the batch was setting up before I could bet all four done. so, If you do half a batch, do the fronts then mix up the other half and do the rears. you'll have alot better sucess. I dont even wipe mine off. Just hosed off when I wash it.

I like Silver! I kind of did it the expensive way though.

I have the kit to paint the rears but I have not gotten around to doing it yet. I like the Silver also because it is close to the original gray.

I have cut springs all the way around with stock Isos.
1/3rd of a coil in the rear and 1/4 of a coil up front. Lower center of gravity without messing up my bumpsteer or my roll center. The only thing that scrapes is my fabricated wider and lower front radiator air dam, and that is not that often.

Looks like this.

Yes those are different wheels front to rear, and the reason was this...

:dw::eek::eek::eek:

That scares me Sh*tless!!! OMFG!!!

It got a little loose in the left front so I knew they had gone off... "just a tad"
If it had been in the rear it would have been a little more of a hand full, but a push is fairly easy to compensate for.

I got my money's worth out of them, that's for sure.:-D
