New Shelby owner, saving a car.

Hello everyone!

I saved a car locally from being potentially parted out last week. Bought a 13 at auction that needs just a little bit of love. This is my 6th mustang, but first Shelby I've had. Really looking forward to the rebuilding process, and of course owning and driving. Ill be asking some advice and what not along the way, but I did read the newbie thread already!

I've been in the car business for quite a while now, and am currently the Sales Manager at a local Ford dealer. Having a good price on some OE parts will help get things rolling quickly. Here are some pics from the auction, and of the trip to bring her home.

Got the front end stripped down some, the nose looks very very lightly tweaked. Only found one side of the hood latch bracket that's pushed back, and one of the hood mounts that's tweaked. It goes on the frame rack this week to see how far off she is.

If you could slide those air bags though the recall program that would save some coin. Good luck with the project. Good call on checking for frame damage.

Thanks man! This is exactly the car I would have ordered in 13/14. It has it all, except nav. Glass roof, shaker pro, PP and TP. And in my colors! And the car spent its while life only about an hour and a half from where I live. I think it was meant to be!

I know man! Ive got a 14 V6 with a ton of suspension work, to make it fun in the twisties! Looking for some fun in the straights now!

I asked the parts guy about the bags, he laughed, but it was worth a shot! The 4 bags and the module needed are much more reasonable than I thought they would be, so bonus there!
