I actually did this early March...gave up on sealant/wax, applied a ceramic coating. Had not washed the car since then, almost 4 months. This stuff is amazing how hard it is to swirl and also how awesome it fights water spotting. The easiest, fastest car wash I've ever done. No water spotting, no need to go back over with a microfiber and detail spray.
4 months ago putting on the coating, glossed it up frst with the flex and menzerna 4500:
(yes you can do all the plastics and glass)
After first wash in 4 months that I did yesterday

Well, you need the paint "corrected" before applying it. As corrected (ie polished and free of scratches and swirls as you can get it). The end result will only be as good as the prep work you put in before it goes down.
Once thats done, I recommend wiping down the panel you are going to work on with something like CarPro Eraser solution...it will leave it surgically clean and allow great bonding for the coating.
Then you use the supplied applicator pad, put on a bead of the coating and work a small 18" by 18" section....let it "flash" for a minute or two...then wipe it off with a microfiber. You just keep working these sections until you are done.
The only thing I haven't done yet are my CCW's. I have enough left to coat them...but I need to polish them first. I've been really happy with the performance on the paint, trim and glass, tho. I'm hoping I don't have to do anything to these parts for 2 years minimum...maybe longer we'll see how it holds up.

Absolutely! Anything to ease maintenance and preserve the finish on mirror polished aluminum would be worth the price alone. Damn I love the look, there's no better IMO....but dread the work
