I hate those dumb ass plates.. there is a integra around here with the plate v8 ha ha.. he's at about 260whp.. so he does kill a few g.ts. he met up with me with just simple bolt ons. Got his ass beat.. said quickest g.t he's ever seen -___- let's just say he really hated it when he upped the boost and I slapped the 150 shot on and he got destroyed by bus lengths and bus lengths... he no longer has that car and now drives a older transam

You gotta wonder how many people decline races because they don't think it's worth their time and how many because they don't want to get their ass beat in a race, haha. I've gotta think that most guys who turn down races are afraid to lose.

I've had a few people from downstate send me PM's wanting to run... Maybe next summer I'll trailer it down and bring a few other buddies down there who have some pretty fast cars. :beer:

It is funny to read about races like that. It reminds me of races when somebody in a c6z06 smoked a Porsche or Lambo or Ferrari, and keep bragging about it everyday. The guy in 5.0 probably spent more money on his new car than you did on your old z06 with mods altogether. If he wanted a used corvette, I'm sure he could afford it, but maybe he didn't want it? I don't blame him at all. I'd much rather take a brand new 5.0, than a 10 year old high mileage vette. Instead of beating near stock 350z and 5.0s in a highly modded c5z06, go race a bolt on c6z06 and if you beat the driver then you can at least brag about your superior driving skills. If....

Good deal man! Well I can find a couple guys for you to run if you are interested, there are a ton of cars from fast honda's, gt500's, cobra's to ugr lambo etc. We usually meet up every sat night. Send me a pm sometime closer to the date. It would be cool to meet another board member :beer:
There's a guy locally that has the plate LSWAT on his Whippled Cobra, and the LS boys run a train on him everytime.
Reguardless if you put a custom tag on your car that says "GMEATR" you better be able to back it up. I don't blame the OP for doing what he did at all. Nice Kill

A friend of mine has that on his but it is a big joke because we are good friends with most of the lsx guys, although his car should be able to back it up as well. It is a 02 gt with a 298 stroker 4v, t56 magnum, and hellion twin turbo kit

I could have bought a new GT500 if I wanted to. I could have definitely bought a 5.0 if I wanted one also. But I didn't... My Z06 isn't high milage either.
Someone sounds a little butt hurt. Is it that time of the month or something??? Jeez... I never said anything bad about the car... Just how his plates were kinda dumb for being on a stock car.
My father does have a C6 Z BTW. Bone stock, and I beat him prior to the nitrous.

Yes, the value has decreased substantially over the years, but the price I paid back a few years ago is still more that what the 5.0s are going for. I fail to understand the validity of your price argument. BTW, I have a low mileage '06 Z in the garage and if I had to do it all over again, I'd still much rather have my 5yr old '06 Z over a '12 5.0.
Just beacuse someone has an older higher mileage car doesn't mean they can't post a kill. It defeats the purpose of the "Road Kill" section.
