At least someone picked up on his humor. That is pretty much what that was, Clayton humor.:lol1:

Nice SL600 dude, thing looks awesome. Don't sweat the few D-bags here. Not everyone thinks that if it doesn't have an oval for an emblem it can't be fast.

I have an inny for a penis. I guess you win:(

Well, nobody's a winner if you have an inny! Your poor wife/girlfriend.

Fact:Purchasing a luxury German hot rod, increases both the length and girth of your man missile. Or at least the frequency in which you use it.

Basic fact is no one knows how fast or slow your car is. Like I said before that vid is crap and you cant tell anything from it! There is no way you pull a 11 flat sl the way your car currently sits!:bash:

Thanks for the support. It's apparent that The Hoff, is just one of those guys. No problem, we have em too on our side. But, playing a little bit of devil's advocate here, I don't think he said that MY SL600 was slow, but the one he raced was slow. He's already said that he didn't take the video, he didn't know the guys, and didn't even know that the video existed until it was brought to his attention. So, there's absolutely no way that he could know what mods, if any, were done to that car. Here's another video from those guys with the SL, racing a Mustang...

It's also hard for me to accept bench racers's opinions. He has ZERO quantifiable data for his car, to be able to make an educated guess at what it will do against other cars. Unless his car is dipping into the 10's, it shouldn't even be in the conversation about what the outcome would be: me vs him.

Anyway, thanks for the support. I'm not here to start a war, just really wanted to clear up some misinformation on these cars, and offer to meet the original poster.

With a name like DavidHasselhoff, I would say everything is slow including his brain!:loser:

And so it begins. Wassup, M? :D

Thanks. When the membership is mostly passionate gearheads, the forum experience is a good one, regardless of platform. It's when it's full of know-it-all bench racers, children under the age of 25, and people that won't or can't believe that their marquee isn't the best thing on the planet, you'll have issues.

Honestly, my reception here has been better than I expected. There's the few toolbags, which is to be expected, but for the most part I've felt welcomed.

At least someone picked up on his humor. That is pretty much what that was, Clayton humor.:lol1:

I know my humor and delivery is lost on some, but you know me about as well as anyone.

You can confirm, with zero degree of uncertainty, the massiveness of my Louisville slugger..... Oh wait? What? Nevermind..... abort abort abort!

Thank you sir. Yeah, I hear ya. Many of the members on my forum have come from the Mustang world, believe it or not. I have a feeling that many members here have never even heard of an E55 AMG, and what it's capable of. Hell, 6 years ago, I didn't even know. They're quite impressive machines, and a logical upgrade for those in the Mustang world that want a bump in luxury, without suffering anything in the performance realm.

Anyway, I sent a message to the Original Poster asking for contact info. Hopefully, we can get together, snap a few pics, and I'm able to talk him into coming out to our MIR rentals.

You don't even know how my car sits as of now, so you're making uneducated assumptions. If you want I can get another run with them in the daylight with both cats easily visible...would that make you a believer then? Or would you still call BS with some other lame ass remark. Either way I was never aware of what sl600s ran, I just know I raped the one in the video posted.

It was most deffinetly a poser (ie. SL500 with badges). I gurantee you will not RAPE a lightly modded 600 especially C's.

Well I can assure you it can run 10s, but with my suspension consisting of road race Coilovers and all polyurethane bushings for nice street manners and the lack of tires (Nitro Invos), I have no desire to run at the track. Also the tracks over an hour away from me, I'd rather stick to my lowly roll racing. Like I said, you saw it beat the Gallardo from a roll, and from watching their vids it has basic mods I.e. tune, exhaust like I said before. Ill be more than glad to run them again if y'all need better footage. I'm not knocking the cars, they're nice but I wouldn't consider them a force to be reckoned with on the street.

Go look at all their vids, its a real sl600...y'all are funny though. They have a Facebook as well with pics of their engine bay verifying the V12. Just saying, idk why its so hard to believe...I guess y'all think I have a fake cobra...

Not disrespecting the Bens man at all. I realize the level of quality of that goes into that car! However, it is $130,000 dollars man! It should come with a powerful engine, leather seats, heated cup holders. Hell for that money, I would hope it has an inflatable joy doll for those cold winter nights.
I am just saying that you can go a lot faster for less money and "most" (not all) people who like speed, do not care about heated cup holders.

I'd take a $150k Aston Martin V8 Vantage, 4.6V8 420bhp over any 550HP Shelby GT500 or 412 5.0 or 444hp Boss 302... Stop comparing prices. Everybody and they're baby mamma has a Mustang. Even the Homeless drive Mustangs. Doesn't matter what model it is, IT'S STILL A MUSTANG!

Also just to add, when you roll race, you don't class cars by their ET, you class them by their trap speeds. For example, the 9 second UGR Gallardo traps in the 170s, it'd demolish any other 9 second car from a roll. So what does 1/4 mile times have to do with that race? Also I weigh less, make more power and more torque...

Welcome to the Board, Clayton!

Couldn't have said it any better than that...

Thanks for the invitation for my son to check out your car someday, I know he will really enjoy it. I will send you my contact info, so whenever we both have time to set something up, I'll, I mean my son will be looking forward to it. :)
I would love to hit MIR this weekend, but I probably won't get to the track until next year sometime, I just need to get a few more items together for the car, just so it makes it all worthwhile. Also, there is a Cobra Cruise this weekend to the Catoctin Mountain which I will be tagging along..

And again, you have one heck of a Beautiful Car....and that RR is pretty sweet too....

I have a question for you MB guys, I am a BMW M guy at heart but I love the AMG cars don't get me wrong. However, do any of you guys wish your cars came with a manual. That has always been a deal breaker for me when it comes to MB. Awesome rides as well guys!
