New guy here.
Wanted to say hi and ask some quick advice. Have been reading the site for some time and I think I have my plan laid out...so now is your chance to tell me I am doing it all wrong, lol.
Just got the car a month ago $17k,'03 Cobra, 52k, purchased from the original owner. Black(fuh), I fart in the car and there's a new scratch when I get out...wished I would have known about the paint issues...getting sprayed in the spring. Bone stock.
I have 6k-8k to put into it.
Now, I am new to the boosted 4.6 but not to building cars in general. Already have Driver Mod. First thing I am going to do is put the FTBR kit in it...the big one that replaces everything. Next is tires, this thing laughs at the F1's on it...probably M/T or Hoosier...I learned my lesson long ago with DR's and big HP. If I can't hook-up now, why bother making more power.
Then...American Muscle/SCT/Bama Tunes, 60lb,BAP,MAF,JLP, x-pipe,cat back, Posi port, 2.76, Diff cover/brace, clutch/26 spline, AeroForce. Then the JUICE. Not in that order of course.
I have a couple question's. Do I need bigger pumps...say the GT's? Also, I am hoping to get 550rwhp with the above, with a 75-100 (dry)shot I am hoping for 600+...does this sound reasonable? Am I missing something?
Should I say bag all that and go KB/Whipple? I realize there are other (big)costs associated with that route.
