Me and the wife go to Greg @ RET for the last 2 years now.

I'm happy and there is for sure great service after the sale, Something I take into consideration before I pony up the cash to any vendor, and/or tuner

At GTR we can hook you up with a kurgan tune, check him out. Im happy with my car, makes big power and is safe too. The guy knows his shit really well, look him up, Bob kurgan at kurgan motorsports.

Bob tuned my car and did a good job. Have nothing but good things to say about him. Car runs and drives like stock and is REALLY fast for a pump gas street car (10.3 @ 136 whipple 2.3 gen 1 15psi) and the times were ran on my 20" wheels with a 305 nitto out back and still get close to 20 mpg on the interstate. Bobs price was more than fair.. Thank god I like so close to the dude. He will do all my work from now on.

I have had my car tuned by RET,SWANSON,POWERTRAIN DYNAMICS.

They are all cool guys, they all can get the job done, IMO steve tunes on the "safer" side then all of them and has the best drivebility out of the three.

Steve was also the most expensive lol It takes time to get it done right.

Greg gives you a price and sticks with it, He wont try to upsell you something either.

I never dealt with ST, I did call him a year back and he qouted me a price but he seemed hard to get a hold of.

GREG,DANNY,STEVE respond to emails very fast.

It gets expensive if you always upgrade, so I started doing my own tuning.

You would be a m a z e d at what Bob Kurgan can do to a combo for power and drivability. He is hands down the BEST. If you want to get in on a dyno tune, hit me up ASAP. He doesn't fly 2,500 miles from Georgia to tune everyday. I will not trust my car to anyone else...

I know Bob knows Lightnings like the back of his hand and tunes them a lot. Google his name and see his reviews. Nothing but good!

wow i was really settled on ret now im thinking of going with bob kurgan:shrug::read:

I am dead serious when I say you will get the absolute BEST tune possible. He made some amazing numbers last year. Like 845 rwhp from a 363 Fox with a YSi. Street/ show car with True Forged wheels. Stock-like drivability. This is his signature, great power with amazing drivability.

Bob made 700rwhp and 649 rwtq on my car. Nothing but a 347 with TFS 205cc heads and a little Si trim blower. I swear I can drive my car anywhere. And I passed California smog afterwards, the legal way! It idles and drives like stock till you step on it. I just switched to a YSi, bigger custom cam by Kurgan and 3" exhaust.

Kurgan tunes probably over a 100 cars a year and does everything. Foxes, Lightnings, Terminators, Coyotes, all of it. The difference with Bob is his experience is so vast he can tune and troubleshoot anything. We had numerous issues with guys cars last year because they didn't gap plugs right, meth systems weren't installed right etc... Bob knew the problem within seconds and FIXED them. Then tuned them to perfection.

Just google Bob Kurgan tuning. Not one bad review about him. Can't say that about any other tuner I've run into. It's a rare opportunity. And you guys are welcome to join us to get hooked up and have a perfect tune.

Tuning will be April 20-21, Fri-Sat, at GTR in Rancho Cucamonga. We will all be rolling down to the Knott's show that Sunday to show off our cars and new dyno sheets! Will be a fun weekend.

Here's what he did to my 100% street car with 18's, Si trim and full smog-legal down to shorty headers:

See, it's NOT a race car, lol...

Shoot me a PM, I'll get you all the details. It ends up being the same or even cheaper than most local tuners in most cases. All you need to do is provide a small deposit to Bob Kurgan via Paypal and you're in.

Anyone interested, PM me and please provide a detailed description of your combo including engine setup, MAF/ injectors and tuning software or stand alone etc....

yes jeremys car put down some nice .numbers as you can see. Drivability is like a stock mustang. And yes it passed smog, I can vouch for him. Like jeremy said if you want the best heres your chance to get a kurgan tune.

i had a bad experience with STmotorsports. not sure if its cause there isnt much of a scene out here in cali with my car, but when i called up STM dude who works there told me i better bring my SRT4 before noon cause Adam wouldnt wanna tune it, cause well that means he'd have to waste his afternoon on a NEON. i had no problem bringing it any time that was available so finally got there and Adam wasnt even there til after the time told to be there. WOW!!!! got the car on the dyno and tuned with DSP and well car made somewhat ok power. 465hp@27psi on 110 octane. he never sent me graphs cause he said his computer corrupted them all. car felt stronger than ever and i liked it. then after about 2-3 weeks of driving. i noticed something wrong, SMOKE!!! i raced the car against 3-4 cars with his tune, drove it back to Texas and when i got home, car was smoking like a chimney. turns out the car had the knock sensor turned off by ADAM the whole time. took motor apart and the pistons were all cracked on the skirts and ringlands, pieces just sat at the bottom of the oil pan. I never went back and i warned all.

Now im tuned and built again From TEXAS, made 510hp and 497tq on E85 @26psi, going for more powa... hoping to get near 550+

That sucks, did he let you know he turned them off?

Always two side to the story though, we don't know what kind of mechanical condition your motor was in, what gas you ran, who built the engine, what parts where used.

I can tell you bad stories from Steve, Danny,Greg, adam. You know what though in this hobby of ours shit breaks.

How they handle the problems is what should make up a reputation of a shop/person

Like my man said in the earlier post

Bob doesn't get bad reviews

Bob races professionally and his rep. is on the line with every tune, so quality tuning is a must for for him. He also provides tech support on many forums. "Who do you know that does that"

I don't fault anyone for going else where, cause maybe that's all they're used to........,but if you want your car done right; check him out.

I've heard and seen the horror stories from these so called tuners in Ca.:burn:......Hell my buddies car sat RET for 6 months and was told it could never be tuned due to the cam and heads.......Bob tuned in an hour and it get 22 mpg and has over 600 plus ponies to the pavement. Now he's going back looking for 8xx

GTR is basically telling you Bob is the man F.E.E:fm:

Do it right bro! go see Bob
