OK fine, they dont allow it. My favorite was a guy saying the zl1 was a fake....LOL

however for those saying " well losing to a boss is nothing to be ashamed of" well while I agree, because the Boss is a over-achiever....the zl1 was hyped to be a GT500 slayer, GT500 correct? the Boss is beneath the GT500....what this says is GM once again lied and didnt deliver. I dont blame the zl1, I blame the engineers and all the people who hyped up the car before anything happened. I agree the zl1 is more comparable to the Boss at this point...forget the 2013 GT500, not even close.

So let me get this straight,
a high tech, 4 valve, 4 cam 5.0 liter Ford engine
performs better than a supercharged pushrod GM V8 of larger displacement?
So which company has better engineers, management and design?

I wonder what will happen @ C5 when they found out the upcoming COPO Camaro race car (Competitor to the Cobra Jet) has a Ford 9inch rear end from the factory.

Poor kool-aid C5 people are having a bad year.

Sure- but that same pullied and tuned ZL1 would get walked by a 13 Gt500

Such a troll...

I would expect a pulley, CAI, tune ZL1 to keep up with a 13 GT500 since it would make up the 100 BHP shortage. But, a slightly modded 13 GT500 would pretty much be untouchable for a bolt-on ZL1. The 13 GT500 is effectively the dreamlist of a modded 12 GT500 right from the factory with a warranty. Hard to beat that. It has everything you could ever want. Increased displacement, more boost, better intercooling and gearing to help launching. All that, and better mileage than last year. That is some killer engineering right there.

Couldn't you just install a blower on the Boss 302, and pass the ZL1 like its a KIA? Just saying..

N/A Boss 302 > ZL1

I'm confused a supercharged boss 302 can beat a 9 second zl1...?

Seems like you guys already drank all the "kool-aid" and left none for me =/.
Correction Modded NA boss beats stock zl1. Basic bolt on's for basic bolt on's the zl1 will demolish the boss on the track, strip, or street. :pop:

Actually YES. Im pretty sure ive seen supercharged 5.0's run in the 9's on a stock block so why couldnt the Boss?? Its forged from the factory ya know. ;)

Also that ONE 9sec ZL1 had $17k worth of mods. Including heads and cam. I highly doubt it would take $17k to get a Boss into the 9's and thats including a $7k supercharger kit.

My point being. The ZL1 has a much bigger advantage, being boosted and costing a bit more then the Boss 302. Someone stated to throw a pulley, and a tune -then it will blow away a Boss 302.

I am sure, if someone installed a blower on a stock Boss 302. A ZL1 would get eaten alive. Oh wait, that already happen without the blower. ouch...

Also, you obviously do a little too much magazine reading. The Boss does not get eaten up at the track. I was Buttonwillow last weekend, and saw stock Bosses (first time being out), running 1:54's. I was running 1:50's in my Laguna Seca. There was a new ZL1 in our class, with the best of a 1:59, and 2:01. The ZL1 owner was dis-apointed, especially how inconsistent the car was, throughout the day and its braking.
