The bottom hose goes to the valve cover, and the top hose goes to the supercharger. If it's backwards it won't hurt anything, just won't filter as well.

Went about 3000 miles and drained about 3 teaspoons. Pretty consistent - 1000 miles per teaspoon. I love this thing! So glad that I changed from JLT cans!

2010Shelby,

Is there any way you could sell these with the same factory type fittings (like the JLT, sorry hate to compare)?? I love your product just not the installed look.. Looks kinda cheesy and rigged when compared to the JLT that has more of a factory look. My car won't be here until September (hopefully, first date was in July) and if you can come up with a unit thaT uses the factory connections I would be willing to buy one for each side. Please shoot me a PM if its possible and with cost.

Thanks!!

Well our kits do use the factory connectors on the end, you just reuse your factory ones. Our kit doesn't use the factory hoses as they are smaller diameter and don't allow airflow to slow down enough for proper filtering in our opinion.

One thing with the Bob's kits is that you can do AN10 fittings and hose, and pick one to your needs, red or blue fittings, different color hoses, different hose finishes braided, stainless steel braided, etc. Lots of options.

I like the firewall mounted version, do any holes have to be drilled to mount it or does it use existing holes? Also, what pipe size fittings go into the canister? Couldn't tell if they are 1/2" or 3/8"? Thanks!

3/8 and yes you have to drill holes. 1/4 inch will work just fine.

What is the I.D. of the original factory hoses? If they are smaller than yours, do you use an adapter fitting to allow your larger hoses to fit the original fittings?

No, the factory fittings are the same as my hose. The factory hose is like a shrink wrap and is smaller than the fitting. Although not much smaller, it is smaller.

Our unit was designed with 1 goal in mind, to separate as much oil as possible. While it doesn't look stock, I think they look great especially in the powdercoated and carbon fiber hydrodipped options.

One other thing with the Bobs is you don't need to remove to drain, it has a valve in the bottom.

The production firewall brackets are now ready for sale.

Cost is an extra $15, and will be color matched (CF will be black bracket). It does require drilling two small holes into your firewall. You can see photos in this thread showing how it looks mounted :)

I am currently picking up double that in my Moroso, I'm guessing its due to the the new motor still breaking in. (I hope)

Wow!! That seems like a lot. Is the Morosso a larger can? Longer hoses?? I have had the Bob's on since about 5000 miles and it has been consistent from day 1. No change. Are you running MotorCraft Oil, Amsiol, etc.. I run Amsiol, but according to Beast if you are using MC it would be more based on the makeup...

Lubricants with higher NOACK Volatility will allow a catch can to collect more, assuming the can isn't allowing everything to pass right through.

If I were to replace my questionable JLT unit I'd have to buy pack of these baby's.

BigDan,

Do you know where these can be purchased and if they would fit on the standard hoses that comes in Bob's kits?
